Im actually new to this site and not sure how it all works yet. I am a self employed contractor in PA and am looking for ways to establish more work. Im insured and licensed of course however I'm new to owning my own business ( this is my 2nd year ) and would appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction? I am very good at what I do, I'm just not sure how to get established more. Any insight would be great! Thanks

Hi Joseph, Since you are already here, use this Network as your Business development tool to market yourself. I sent you an invitation to the Pennsylvania Business Club, which is run by Gary Roe a Pennsylvanian like you with years of experience in the Construction Industry particularly in the Marketing and Sales area. So I highly recommend you contact him on his profile and send him a brief message of introduction. Join his club and introduce yourself and your company on the club's forum. I'd then recommend that you peruse often the "Construction Bid Board" in the "Market Place" tab in the above blue tool bar. You'll get lots of leads for projects you can bid on. You should contact even past projects, most of those are posted by professionals who constantly have new projects so it will be a way for you to get on the bidding list on the very next project. Review your past projects and place before and after pictures of them in the Picture Gallery on your profile. For new construction, simply put the finished pic and comment on it. Don't forget to name each of your pics by their projects characteristics (size and type of project, city...etc) Then use the "browse" tab in above blue tool bar and view the profile of any member in the tri-State area and send them an e-mail of introduction and a brief invitation to visit your page. Lastly, stay as active as you can. Place ads in the market place, write blogs or comment on existing ones, write or paste news articles...etc. If you need to subcontract a trade or hire someone, use the "Market Place" to place a request for proposal from sub-contractors or specialists, place an add in the Employment section of the Market Place if you need to hire. I also recommend that you introduce yourself to other contractors (particularly the large state and National companies) to Architects and Designers here on L&B. Last but not least, subscribe to the Northeast Townbuzz club, and the Big Apple Business Club since one is a regional club for the Northeast US including your State, and the Other is a City Club for the city of New York which is just to the East of your target Market if you wish to expand there. Hope this helps, Best of luck. Christian --------------------------------------------------------------
